OMG! Can’t Belive it! Photosop CS3 is out! Check out this Article:

For the first time ever, Adobe is delivering a widely available Photoshop CS3 beta to enable customers to more easily transition to the latest hardware platforms, particularly Apple’s new Intel based systems. The beta is available as a Universal Binary for the Macintosh platform as well for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista computers, with the final shipping release of Adobe Photoshop CS3 planned for spring 2007.

Adobe has a long-standing commitment to the Mac community and this release is Adobe’s way of delivering native performance on Intel based systems many months earlier than we otherwise could have done. We have no doubt, however, that all of our customers will enjoy exploring the new Photoshop CS3 beta and seeing some of the new features we have in store. The full application is not yet complete; but, many of the additions to the product are fully implemented and ready for you to try and discuss.

The Photoshop CS3 beta is available in English only but to Photoshop CS2 users worldwide. It is available to licensed users of either the Photoshop CS2 (full, upgrade, and education), Adobe Creative Suite 2 Standard or Premium (full, upgrade, and education), Adobe Production Studio Standard and Premium (full, upgrade, and education), Adobe Video Bundle (full, upgrade, and education) or Adobe Web Bundle (full, upgrade, and education). You will need to provide your Photoshop CS2, Creative Suite, Production Studio or Bundle serial number in order to get a Photoshop CS3 beta serial number, enabling you to activate the Photoshop beta and use it beyond the two-day grace period.

Why is Adobe making the Photoshop CS3 beta available now?
Adobe has a long-standing commitment to the Mac community and this release is Adobe’s way of delivering native performance to our Mac customers many months earlier than we otherwise could have done. Over the years, Photoshop has consistently done right by Mac customers, offering a free PowerPC® update for Photoshop 2.5 and a free G5 update for PS 7, even though new versions were right around the corner. Making the Photoshop CS3 Beta available to all of our Mac-based Photoshop CS2 users is a further proof of our commitment to the platform. Since a large portion of our customer base is on Windows, Adobe is simultaneously releasing a Windows version of the Photoshop CS3 beta to Windows XP and Vista users.

Wow, a bit confusing what you wrote, not really understandable. So wait, that’s what you did?

You had CS2 on you computer. Then you downloaded CS3. When you restarted the computer, it took everything off your computer? Then you downloaded CS2, and then again CS3, you couldn’t find the CS3?

Ok, I am stuck here myself. If you could explain more, I might be able to answer you. If anyone knows what he means, feel free to explain him through a comment.

its like wen i downloaded cs3 it was doin all fine and dats wen i also had cs2 but den wen i rebooted my computer and u kno how if u do dat everything comes off ur computer right? RIGHT!! so den i tried to get cs3 back but wen i download and took me to da screen were u check da components it kept sayin repair and so i continued and wen it was done i wen to control pannel and remove program and wen i check to see if cs3 was in my computer it wasnt it was cs2 so now im stuck wen cs2 and not cs3 i tried everything……(Short Story)Wen i download cs3 it installs as cs2

  6. xxxducexxx, You probably just downloaded a file that was CS2 but was named CS3. Uninstall CS2 from your computer, download the CS3 trial from the Adobe website, and go from there. Then you’ll have at the very least a trial of the exact program you want. I won’t go into possible steps to be taken from there, but you can likely figure it out.

i tired dat but it still installs as cs2..if anyone have can they send me they file by like rapidshare or email or somethin plz….

  8. You installed a CS3 trial and it installed as CS2? That’s weird. I have a CS3 package at home but haven’t done anything with it yet. I’m super busy so I can’t guarantee anything but I can install it (the trial) and see if that works, then I can give you the trial file that way on somewhere like Rapidshare. Keep looking, and I’ll try to help when I can. Good luck.

p.s. Don’t post your email publicly, we don’t want to make things easier for spammers.

  9. iight cool thx jus tell me wen and i try to install it again

  10. 10 ...

I downloaded the trial verson… my 30 days are over i dont want to buy it soo i just deleted it but when i make something with art and want to see it so i click on it but then adobe photoshop just comes up i want to uninstall it but i dont know how,,,

  11. 11 ...

not with art i meant with paint

  12. Your trial has run out for Photoshop CS3, and you can’t open things you made in Paint? What operating system are you working on? On a Mac, to uninstall something, just go into your Applications folder and delete the program file. On Windows, go into Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and find Adobe Photoshop CS3 in that list, and click the Uninstall button right there, then follow the on-screen instructions. If you have other problems, contact Adobe or look it up on the website.
