Making Wood

I recently found this great tutorial over on 3DTotal.com about making wood from scratch in Photoshop. It would be used mostly for creating textures for 3D models or for some other kind of collage piece in Photoshop or something like that. Me, I found it awesome just to make it and then play around with it afterwards to give it a more realistic feel. Any and all of you guys playing with Photoshop, this is a great tutorials to take a peek at. Good luck and have fun with it afterwards, it takes a little bit of tweaking to get a really good result, but I think it’s worth it. Pay attention to how they write the tutorial too, as I had slight issues with doing it right the first time. However, it is a cool tutorials to check out. It opens your eyes to realistic texture creation, and it was fun too.
